The Indian Navy has announced fresh recruitment for Agniveer Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) and Matric Recruit (MR) positions under the Agnipath scheme, a transformative initiative to enlist young talent into the Armed Forces. This recruitment drive covers the 02/2025, 01/2026, and 02/2026 batches.
Application Dates & Deadline Extension
The online application process began on March 29, 2025, and was initially set to close on April 10, 2025. However, the deadline has now been extended to April 16, 2025, giving aspirants additional time to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
- For Agniveer SSR: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics, along with at least one subject from Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science.
- For Agniveer MR: Applicants should have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
Age Limit (as per batch)
- 02/2025 Batch: Born between Sept 1, 2004 – Feb 29, 2008
- 01/2026 Batch: Born between Feb 1, 2005 – July 31, 2008
- 02/2026 Batch: Born between July 1, 2005 – Dec 31, 2008
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of two main stages:
- Stage I – INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test):
A computer-based exam scheduled for May 2025. - Stage II – PFT & Medical:
Candidates who qualify the INET will undergo Physical Fitness Tests (PFT), Medical Examination, and Document Verification.
Physical Fitness Requirements
For Male Candidates:
- Height: 157 cm
- 1.6 km Run: 6 min 30 sec
- Squats: 20 reps
- Push-ups: 15 reps
- Bent Knee Sit-ups: 15 reps
For Female Candidates:
- Height: 152 cm
- 1.6 km Run: 8 min
- Squats: 15 reps
- Push-ups: 10 reps
- Bent Knee Sit-ups: 10 reps
Application Fee
Applicants must pay an exam fee of ₹550 + 18% GST, payable online via net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI.
